Quality Coordinator (Sunday-Wednesday 6pm-4:30am)

Shift Available: Front Half Night, Sunday - Wednesday 6pm-4:30am

Purpose: 

This hourly position supports the operations & quality leadership team by contributing to inspections of product going through both inbound / outbound processes, leading meetings, coaching for success, creating a safe & collaborative work environment, and driving process improvement. The role will be very technical and require strong problem-solving skills. Leads will work closely with both their direct and operations supervisors to monitor product shipped from the distribution center meets or exceeds expectations of the business and our customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compare inbound inspection forms to product to confirm correct PO numbers, style numbers, sizes and quantity to be inspected.
  • Understand and act as a role model in following all standard operating procedures (SOPs) 
  • Use problem solving skills to create solutions and adherence to SOP’s
  • Create and conduct audits for areas including but not limited to picking, packing, returns, inbound, outbound, decant and reserve
  • Record inspection results on designated forms and enter tracking system. Notify Supervisor of any inspection that does not meet audit standards.
  • Complete documentation for the removal of inspected product from the QA inspection area.  Adjust inventory when necessary, using prescribed procedure.
  • Perform audits and product re-work as directed by the Supervisor. 
  • Conduct housekeeping within the QA areas to ensure a safe and orderly working environment.
  • Create a positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to an ever-changing business, and stay focused on customer satisfaction 
  • Utilize warehouse tools, including radio frequency handheld units (e.g.“RF Guns”) and computer kiosks, to update transactions within the warehouse management system (WMS)
  • Assist other departments in the Distribution Center as time allows.

Essential Functions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

  • work in a warehouse environment with noise, dust and varying temperatures
  • regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to twelve (12) hours/day
  • occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
  • occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
  • work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine)
  • able to reliably attend work/scheduled hours

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Required to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
