Manager, Product Launch

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION

The Manager, Product Launch functions as a Program Manager within the Digital Commercial Programs team and is responsible for achieving sales targets through consistent coordination & quality execution of key product launches within our North American digital channels. By leveraging systems, processes, frameworks, internal operating models and communication channels this role will help achieve commercial sales targets and optimize business performance.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive delivery and coordination of full-price product launches with stakeholders across all Digital functions to ensure seamless execution. 
  • Manage and implement improvements to quality checks prior to product launches going live to confirm they have been setup according to plan. 
  • Document issues and coordinate troubleshooting of product launch issues that may arise in a timely and effective manner while providing transparent communication to stakeholders along the way.  
  • Perform retrospectives to continuously optimize processes, improve quality, and inform broader organization about opportunities to improve. 
  • Partner across all digital functions to ensure contingency plans are in place and targets, activation plans, and article lists are aligned for product launches. 
  • Operationalize processes and operating rhythms across all Digital functions to streamline the coordination and execution of product launches. 
  • Leverage consistent platforms and forums for keeping stakeholders informed of risks and mitigation plans. 
  • Communicate business performance information to the leadership team and relevant stakeholders to efficiently raise and address escalations and risks. 
  • Liaise with global teams on planning, execution, and reporting activities for globally driven product launches that impact the market and coordinate local efforts to bring these moments to life. 
  • Promote team engagement by supporting colleagues and adapting others’ working styles as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Proven track record driving operational execution as a successful program or project manager 
  • Ability to streamline processes and implement standard methods across markets/functions 
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality work across teams 
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills 
  • Strong mix of business and technical understanding 
  • Proactive nature to stay ahead of assigned product launches
  • Demonstrate a digital mindset and possess the ability to use technology to drive operational excellence 
  • Know how to set priorities in a high pressure environment with tight deadlines and show the necessary resilience 
  • Passionate about project management and managing the coordination and status tracking of detailed tasks 
  • Proficient in MS suite of applications including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel 
  • Knowledge and experience with digital technologies such as Product Information Management, eCommerce platforms, Analytics, Marketing, CRM, Merchandising, or Experience optimization solutions preferred 
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet a plus 

 

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 to 7 years professional work experience, preferably with some experience in eCommerce, Digital, or Information Technology 
  • 2 to 5 years project management experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of skills and experience 
  • English language proficiency
