Purpose:
This position is responsible for the sales and service management for portfolio of wholesale customers for Eastern Canada to deliver profitable and sustainable growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Full ownership and accountability for the individual and team productivity and delivery against sales and margin objectives
- Develop and monitor seasonal and annual sales targets by Territory
- Ensure order writing deadlines are achieved, and constantly proactively manage the open order book for account base
- Manage all sales and product in adherence with trade investment programs
- Ensure key product and brand stories are activated at retail to win the consumer
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and consumers, delivering high service levels
- Execute product knowledge training sessions and educational training seminars for account base
- Provide monthly insights on sales, margin forecasts by channel against targets
- Manage business partnership with key buying groups – BPG, ClubLink, Copper Creek, Golf North, Sport Expert, etc.
- Lead the sell-in process in collaboration with the Merchandising team
- Direct the sell-through process in collaboration with the Marketing team, including broad deployment of promotional tools, event activations
- Maximize employee engagement through coaching in account planning, selling skills, presentations
- Accountable for all sales related budgets (T&E, seeding, allowances)
- Submission of territory sales targets annually
Key Relationships (Global):
- Build and foster relationships with key partners within global sales teams in Carlsbad, and other international markets
Key Relationships (Internal):
- Build and foster relationships with key teams in Canada: Marketing, Merchandising, Customer Service
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills with strong command of the English language
- Direct sales experience and a proven track record for delivering results
- Ability to portray a confident and winning attitude in challenging business interactions
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence outcomes with both internal and external contacts
- Ability to make “on the spot” decisions
- Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects and priorities while working autonomously
- Proficient in software applications such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI and Outlook
- Ability to travel on a regional basis
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 4-6 years of territory sales experience, preferably within the golf industry
- Minimum 2 years of sales leadership experience
- University or college graduate in related field
