Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- To support in the development and management of a third party supply network which excels in cost competitiveness, speed, innovation and agility.
- To provide South Market with exemplary service to ensure products are customised and supplied locally in a way that exceeds customer expectations
- To support in the provision of supply options for projects, services or products that cannot be fulfilled via the various adidas Group global supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Sourcing and Management
- Work with the Local Production & Embellishment Manager to develop a robust portfolio of suppliers to meet the requirements of the business, driving cost, lead times, innovation and quality.
- Establish and develop regular reviews of supplier performance, in accordance with KPI’s including input from key business partners to ensure smooth activation and de-activation of relationships as required.
- Ensure transparency, consistency and due diligence in our ways of working through development, roll out and maintenance of robust processes covering supplier activation, management and de-activation
- Ensure Ariba POs are raised for all associated activity and all invoices/payments approved accordingly.
- Maintain records of supplier agreements, costs agreed, services provided along with audit of T’s and C’s signed.
- As required, support the Local Production & Embellishment Manager and legal teams in review of the legal documentation and service agreements in place with suppliers
- With support of the Local Production & Embellishment Manager, execute regular supplier audits to ensure quality and adherence to adidas standards. Maintain all required information on the FFC Portal.
- Work with Local Production & Embellishment Manager and our supply base to showcase new innovations to the business
- When necessary, negotiate settlement with suppliers in relation to any problems that have caused losses / additional costs to Market North
- Cost Competitiveness
- Utilise standard purchasing techniques (negotiation, tenders, benchmarking, eAuctions etc.) to ensure that the most competitive prices are attained for all third-party supply requirements including embellishment and rectification.
- Support in the provision of frequent price benchmarks to the business as well as specific operational project/job prices and invoice query resolution (prices confirmed with nominated supplier)
- Track agreed costings for all 3rd party contracts, along with invoice reconciliation and approval as required
- Clubs/FEDS
- Manage the transfer and sponsor order placement process. Place all orders with suppliers and create and process Ariba for all related orders.
- Manage top-up order process and conduct monthly reconciles to ensure continuity of supply.
- Review and provide approval for monthly supplier statements and other associated costs.
- Project Co-ordination
- Where required, co-ordinate specific initiatives which are heavily driven by 3rd party activity. Initiate stakeholder review meetings to agree any project management accountabilities and ensure all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities.
- Create and maintain project timelines / critical paths for projects, ensuring supporting documentation is created and saved centrally for future reference
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties to ensure adequate capacity is allocated to adidas, ensuring on-going visibility and effective management throughout length of projects
- Execute regular review of the progress and success of projects, including feedback from all stakeholders at the end of projects, to drive best practice for future initiatives
- Maintain exemplary communication with all stakeholders, not limited to but including project/job progress, problem areas or significant changes to supply conditions that could have a positive or negative effect on performance
- Processes
- Work with the Local Production & Embellishment Manager and all stakeholders to support continuous improvement in our processes
- Communicate adidas standard processes (SOPs) and cross functional process manuals to suppliers and ensure they are understood and adhered to (when applicable detail within service agreements).

Requisite Education and Experience:
Desirable 3 years’ experience within a Logistics role and educated to degree level standard, in addition to showing evidence of the requisite competencies the candidate/incumbent must demonstrate the following:
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Ideally have some knowledge of Sourcing &/or Commercial Buying processes.
- Ability to understand, focus on and resolve day to day issues within the agreed parameters
- Good IT skills ;knowledge of Excel, Outlook, a knowledge of SAP AFS would be an advantage
- Good presentation skills
- Supply chain knowledge essential
