Manager Non Trade Procurement

Purpose & overall relevance for the organization:

  • This role will implement global procurement strategies, projects, processes and systems within the adidas NAM & LAM organizations. This role will be key in executing the relevant procurement objectives and strategies, with a major focus in West LAM Cluster (Arg, Chi and Per) being the focal point for Argentina combining Category and Key Projects support for Americas Region.
  • Supporting Cost Management initiatives such as ZBB (zero-based budgeting), operational efficiencies finding and alignment between business areas, Finance Controlling and NTP.
  • Ensure that commercial and business relationships and engagements with suppliers and counterparts are handled according to policies, commercial targets, risk management and procurement category-related best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support NTP activities for West LAM Cluster (Argentina, Chile and Peru) being the focal point for Argentina, combining Category and Key Projects support for Americas Region.
  • Cost-Management initiatives for LAM, including soft ZBB (zero-based budgeting) principles revamp, operational efficiencies finding and proper triangle alignment between business areas, Finance Controlling and NTP.
  • Establishes and manages the whole process of non-trade procurement, including rules and procedures according to internal control and global Procurement processes.
  • Search, identifies, onboard suppliers, requests and follows up on service deliveries/executions and manages procurement and services orders according to the signing matrix.
  • Controls KPI’s reports.
  • Coordinate non-trade Procurement team directly and indirectly and demand of services.
  • Stakeholder Management, addressing topics and acting as a PMO within different NTP layers (local, regional, global, GBS Tactical Buying, Catalogues, Globality).
  • Oversee procurement activity with business stakeholders to ensure that procurement are let in accordance with policy and best practice guidance.
  • Lead supplier selection processes in alignment with business partners and negotiate contracts up to final authorization including dispute resolution, approving and qualifying suppliers.
  • Delivery of market analysis/research and industry/customer engagement to ensure robust business cases and sourcing plans for the adidas.
  • Build business relationships and effectively partner with relevant stakeholders & suppliers.
  • Continuous learning and development of procurement/category knowledge and methodologies, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the procurement function.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for the procurement team to add value to the business.

 

Key Relationships:

All Business Stakeholders Functions Local and Regional from all seniority levels, Global Procurement Community (Stakeholder Management, Supplier Management, Category Management, Sourcing Management, Procurement Excellence, Leadership), GBS Tactical Buying, Enabling functions such as Legal, Finance, IT, HR, and 3rd Party Service Providers.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Sourcing Processes (Source to Pay, Buying Channels, etc.).
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts, such as TCO and life cycle of products/services, business partnering.
  • Knowledge of Indirect Procurement landscape, new technologies and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management.
  • Capability to independently interact throughout the organization and operate at pace and respond positively to change.
  • Excellent Project management with international project and process management knowledge and experience, including stakeholder management based in different locations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP/Ariba and/or other Guided Buying and Sourcing tools.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
  • International, diverse mindset.
  • Soft & Hard skills balance driven.
  • Cost Management, Operational Efficiencies, ZBB (Zero-based budgeting) principles.

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited college or university with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement or legal, MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience within project management, management stakeholders and preferably with supplier management exposure.
