Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: 

As a Senior Manager in the Strategy and Programs team within adidas’ Emerging Markets (EM) E-commerce and Digital Partner Commerce, you have two areas of responsibility: strategic projects & head office. This means you are responsible for strategizing and sizing profitable e-com growth approaches, managing special projects that support that profitable growth in the near term, supporting the team’s VP and leadership team (DLT) in key deliverables and captaining initiatives that support team communications, career development and culture. You will directly support the Director of Strategy and Programs and work closely with Manager, Strategy & Programs who has responsibilities within strategic projects and head office. You will be a key contact for Global Digital, markets’ digital teams, EM “Hub” teams (Finance, Business Development, Brand, Retail/Franchise/WHS), EM country cluster teams (Business Development, Finance, Merchandising) to connect with our team and you will work across our team’s Planning & Analytics, CX & Trading, Operations, DPC/Partner Program functions. Professionalism, quantitative skills, interpersonal skills, communication, flexibility, curiosity and strong work ethic are musts for this role. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

 

Strategic Projects: Co-create and review market strategy while executing aligned commercial projects to achieve profitable growth targets 

  • Conduct thorough market analysis and competitive research to identify growth opportunities 

  • Develop e-commerce strategies to achieve profitable growth targets across clusters that factors in Global Digital’s guidance as well as clusters’ visions and realities (e.g. 5-year planning, annual planning) 

  • Create financial models to forecast uplift, evaluate which growth drivers to select 

  • Implement and execute special strategic projects end-to-end to achieve profitable growth targets (e.g. endless aisle expansion, mega commercial moment tracking) 

  • Drive detailed project plans that factor in interdependencies, provide transparency on progress, identify risks on time, and solve issues proactively 

  • Participate in and/or run retrosepcitves with all relevant stakeholders to collect appropriate feedback, define improvement ideas and execute said ideas 

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across clusters as well as market ecom divisions and provide quarterly performance reports to senior management 

  • Develop an informal community of practice across market e-com strategy leads and county cluster strategy leads to share what’s driving strategic and commercial value 

 

Head Office: Support leadership team planning & key deliverables while captaining team-related initiatives to deliver top-down requests OTIF, team organization 

  • Prepare Leadership Team for all milestones and meetings and ensure all events are followed up accordingly (e.g. All Employee Meeting presentations, leader visits) 

  • Coordinate and facilitate HR and Finance processes (e.g. people survey, performance standards, T&E budget, etc) 

  • Support content creation for Senior Leadership Team deliverables by drafting initial storyline, briefing teammates on content needed, incorporating feedback, formatting slides to perfection and drafting speaker notes 

  • Regularly update and improve team assets (e.g. Team Sharepoint, People Plan) 

  • Manage team culture initiatives end-to-end (e.g. feedback, awards, team time) while ensuring all team career & development initiatives are active and on-track 

  • Draft and send Yammer posts and team emails about huddles, senior leadership visits, past highlights and upcoming priorities to ensure collective awareness 

  • Plan and produce engaging virtual monthly huddles including agenda planning, content collection, slide editing, emcee, screen share, video share, Q&A, etc… 

  • Organize annual team summit including budget estimation, agenda planning, activity coordination, slide creation, and all team communication

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:  

  • MBA degree with focus on Sales/Marketing/Strategy 

  • 9+ years of experience in strategy, project management and finance ideally strategy consulting; experience in modelling and analyzing financial reports is a must 

  • Market business acumen in emerging markets ideally e-commerce (e.g. Turkey, Israel, Northern Africa, Southern Africa, Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, Pacific) 

  • Experience working with stakeholders across seniority levels as well as subject matter experts across functions (finance, analytics, trading, brand, ops teams, etc.)
